Acceptance

By downloading or using BrewTinker, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Description Of Service

BrewTinker is a personal coffee brewing record and analysis app. It helps you:

• Record brew parameters and tasting outcomes.
• Reuse beans, recipes, and past records.
• Compare controlled experiments.
• Export records for backup, spreadsheet review, or external regression analysis.
• Optionally connect compatible BLE brewing devices for local weight and temperature readings.

The current app is local-first. Historical cloud sync and Firebase documents are archived and are not the active service baseline.

Purchases And BrewTinker Pro

BrewTinker Pro is optional and is offered through the App Store in two forms:

• Annual Pro, an auto-renewing one-year subscription.
• Lifetime Pro, a one-time non-consumable purchase.

Both options unlock the same current Pro benefits. Localized prices and the annual billing period are shown before purchase through Apple's App Store and StoreKit interfaces. Annual Pro renews yearly until canceled through the user's Apple Account; Lifetime Pro does not renew.

Current Pro benefits are:

• Home Screen widgets for brew stats and bean freshness.
• Shortcuts to start brewing or open Brew Log.
• Multiple grinder and dripper profiles.

Core brewing, records, experiments, recipe forks, and manual export remain available without Pro.

Purchases, subscription management and cancellation, refunds, payment methods, taxes, and family sharing behavior are handled by Apple's App Store systems and policies. Use Restore Purchases if App Store entitlement state needs to be refreshed.

Accounts And Cloud Services

The current source tree does not include a production account, Firebase Auth, Firestore Sync, Google Sign-In, Firebase Analytics, or Firebase Crashlytics implementation.

You are responsible for protecting your device and local app data. You can delete local app data by deleting records in the app or removing the app from your device.

If you use a build that later reintroduces account or cloud features, those features must be governed by updated terms and privacy disclosures before release.

Bluetooth Device Support

BLE device support is optional and compatibility may vary by device model, firmware, and iOS environment.

Current direct Bluetooth data is limited to weight and temperature. Flow-rate charts are derived locally from saved weight readings and are not a separate BLE sensor stream.

Local Notifications And Widgets

Daily reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. BrewTinker does not operate a push-notification service.

Widgets may show compact summaries using data stored locally or in the local App Group container.

Your Content

You retain ownership of brew records, notes, recipes, bean data, and optional photos you create or import into BrewTinker. The current build stores this content locally and only exports or shares it when you choose to do so.

You are responsible for exported or shared content after you save or share it.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
• Use the app for unlawful activity.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except where allowed by law.
• Scrape, data-mine, or use automated tools to extract content from the app.
• Misrepresent exported data or device compatibility claims.

Intellectual Property

The app, code, design, trademarks, and bundled content are owned by or licensed to BrewTinker. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Disclaimers

BrewTinker is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

Coffee recommendations, brew parameters, flow-rate curves, experiment comparisons, and exported analysis fields are informational tools. Taste and extraction outcomes depend on beans, water, grinder, equipment, technique, and measurement quality.

We do not guarantee that:

• The app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
• BLE readings will be available for every device.
• Exported data will be sufficient for every statistical method.
• A suggested brew change will improve taste.

Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BrewTinker is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or loss of expected results.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes should be reflected in the app and published legal documents before release. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
